2016 Law Day

5/27/2016

On April 22, 2016 the HCBA celebrated Law Day by hosting an event for its members at the Henry County Superior Court. The Superior Court’s Chief Judge, Arch W. McGarity, led the attendees in renewing their Attorney’s Oath. Bobby Lee Cook, a nationally recognized defense attorney, served as the speaker at this event. The bar’s current president, Pandora E. Palmer, made a special presentation to Kim Maddox with the Henry County Sheriff’s Department for her contributions to the bar during the past several years involving the mock trial competitions and Law Day celebrations. The Law Day Celebration concluded with a catered luncheon for all attendees. It was a well-attended event, with over half of the bar’s members, as well as several judges, in attendance.
